Getting to ENUG 2025

The conference will take place in the Sherman Function Hall in the Hassenfeld Conference Center.

Brandeis provides a comprehensive page on Getting There; below we will share the modes most likely to be used by our attendees:

By car

Guests arriving by car can park in the Theater Lot as well as the Hassenfeld Parking Lot both are located off of Loop Rd. For a detailed campus map and information on other available parking areas, please click here.

By commuter rail

Commuter train service is available from Boston’s North Station (Fitchburg/South Acton line) to the Brandeis/Roberts Station that borders the campus.

See MBTA commuter rail schedules

Notes for those traveling by rail:

Commuter line service to Brandeis/Roberts Station is available from Boston’s North Station on the Fitchburg/South Acton Line.

Please note: Trains from the Northeast Corridor (RI, CT, NY, NJ, PA, etc.) and other points west do not travel to North Station. If traveling directly to Brandeis from points west by train, take your train to Back Bay Station and then take the Orange Line (T) to North Station for connection to the Fitchburg/South Acton Line.

Also note: The Boston Marriott Newton is accessible via the Framingham/Worchester Line (Auburndale stop). This line is accessible from Back Bay Station.

Places to Stay

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Boston Marriott Newton, at $209.00/night. You can book with them until September 10 or until all the rooms have been reserved.

If you choose to stay elsewhere, Brandeis provides some local suggestions here.

Places to Eat

The restaurants listed here are convenient to campus. Most are located in Waltham, in the Main Street-Moody Street area, about a four-minute drive from campus. Cities are listed for those restaurants not in Waltham.

The cost of registration is used to cover the event space fees, as well as the catering; attendees can expect coffee/tea and light fare (Thurs & Fri AM), a sandwich buffet (Thurs lunch), an afternoon snack break (Thurs PM), and a box lunch (Fri lunch). Dietary restrictions will be accommodated as requested.

COVID & Illness Policy

We would like all of our attendees to feel safe and comfortable at ENUG. Attendees are welcome and encouraged to wear masks and social distance at their own discretion. We ask that all attendees respect others’ boundaries. We will have a way to indicate on your badges the level of comfort you have with in-person interactions or need for distance.

If you do not feel well the day of ENUG: We ask that you not attend ENUG. If you have already registered, please contact the conference chairs (enugchair@gmail.com) and we can discuss refunds on a case-by-case basis.

Unfortunately we will not be able to stream video of sessions for participants who are unable to attend due to illness. This will be a fully in-person event.
